The purpose of this policy is in reference to how members are to act within the space, this is to ensure all members are comfortable within the community.
This policy and procedures below applies to all members, their employees, visitors or anyone invited by members into any of the Soto Group spaces. It also applies to all staff in the varied departments, regardless of their level of seniority and responsibility.
Reason for Policy
This policy is implemented to allow the creation of an inclusive and welcoming community and to create accountability and responsibility for all staff and users of the spaces.

Policy Details and Procedures
By using Soto Group services, you agree to comply with all applicable rules of Code of Conduct:
We are committed to maintaining the highest degree of integrity in all our dealings with potential, current and past clients, both in terms of normal commercial confidentiality, and the protection of all personal information received in the course of providing the business services concerned. We extend the same standards to all our customers, suppliers and associates. Members within the space are expected to similarly maintain this level of integrity and, as they may come across them in their business dealings, with the exception of business introductions.
We always conduct our own services honestly and honourably, and expect our members and suppliers to do the same. Our advice, strategic assistance and the methods imparted through our training, take proper account of ethical considerations, together with the protection and enhancement of the moral position of our clients and suppliers.
Duty of care
Our actions and advice will always conform to relevant law, and we believe that all businesses and organisations, including this agency, should avoid causing any adverse effect on the human rights of people in the organisations we deal with, the local and wider environments, and the well-being of society at large.
Conflict of interest
Members are required to communicate any involvement with other coworking communities before joining. This does not automatically mean anyone with conflicting interests will be denied membership, and each instance will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
Intellectual property and moral rights
We retain the moral rights in, and ownership of, all intellectual property that we create unless agreed otherwise in advance with our clients. In return we respect the moral and intellectual copyright vested in our clients’ intellectual property.
Professional & personal conduct
Staff and members are to conduct all of their activities professionally and with integrity. Our community takes great care to be completely objective in our judgement and any recommendations that we give, so that issues are never influenced by anything other than the best and proper interests of our members.
We work to ensure that members in the space are provided a safe workspace that is free from distractions outside of designated networking activities and times (this includes, but is not limited to, Community Lunch, Friday Drinks, Member’s Breakfast).
Discrimination, bullying and sexual harassment are unacceptable at Soto Group and are unlawful under the following legislation:
• Sex Discrimination Act 1984 (Cth)
• Racial Discrimination Act 1975 (Cth)
• Disability Discrimination Act 1992 (Cth)
• Age Discrimination Act 2004 (Cth)
• Australian Human Rights Commission Act 1986 (Cth).
Members may not touch, move or take other members’ equipment and must be conscious of other members. We encourage members not to have distracting or loud behaviour that may be considered by us as disturbing other members.
We also ask all members to keep their space tidy and respect all of Soto Group’s amenities.
Conduct in Social Media and Online
We expect our staff and members to maintain a high integrity in their online dealings, both internally and externally in regards to Soto Group. The internal communication systems (Soto Group platform, Email Campaigns, Slack etc) are to be used for business and networking purposes only, and in a collaborative manner.
Externally, it is expected that any views or feelings expressed are clearly those of the user and not reflective of Soto Group’s view. Grievances are to be directed to Matthew Crouch: email@example.com in the first instance and not aired publicly.
Equality and discrimination
We expect our staff and members to always be fair and objective in their advice and actions, and are never influenced in their decisions, actions or recommendations by issues of gender, race, creed, colour, age or personal disability.
